Special Thanks to everyone who is "helping out" we couldn't do it without YOU!

Realizing that injuries from overuse of pitchers arms has become an epidemic in organized baseball at all levels, LDYB consulted several major proponents of pitch limitation to come up with a simplified pitch count to help protect young arms.   CLICK HERE FOR THE LDYB PITCH COUNT RULE

OZONE News---After a lot of research, poll information and some educated guessing, it seems as if the majority of parents and coaches of 11 and 12 year old players (Dixie Youth -Majors) think that Ozone is the way to go.  The Board reached that same decision Tuesday night October 17.

*** Editorial:  Sure umpires get paid; but they don't get paid enough to listen to the constant barrage of insults and second guessing.  Remember, these guys can and will make mistakes but most of the time their judgment and rulings are correct and above reproach.  They don't have a hidden agenda and they enjoy what they do else they wouldn't be out there.

Your coaches deserve the same respect.  They are volunteers and do this as a courtesy.  Their love of the game and the desire to improve children's lives not only through baseball instruction but also in helping them
"grow up" and cope with today's world is very important.

Sportsmanship counts!  Please try to show our children what the respect for the game, officials, coaches, and each other should be!  That doesn't mean you can't show emotion for the game, let's just keep it positive.
